This RFQ has been re-issued with amendments on the SBD forms required and method of submission is now via a bid box not through email.

 

The Council for the Built Environment (CBE) wishes to invite  Quotations from Prospective service providers for DIRECTORS INDEMNITY INSURANCE  COVER  for a period of 24 months. The Annual Report is attached .

 

Specification/Background

  • Council and Committee members and prescribed officers ( directors as defined by the Companies Act of 2008) of the CBE are exposed to claims for damages arising from common law or statutory liability as a result of their said roles. Indemnity cover is required for all claims against directors excluding the limitations imposed by section 78 of the Companies Act.

 

  • The directors must be covered for R10M in total and R5M maximum per individual.

 

  • The contract period for this cover  should be for 2 years ( 24 months)
  • Prices quoted must be fixed  for the contract period ( as mentioned on the second point of important notes below)
