The Council for the Built Environment (CBE) has embarked on an initiative to create a workable database of unemployed graduates in the Built Environment. This initiative aims to ease the plight of graduates who, after receiving their certificates, spend years without an opportunity to practice in their country. These unemployed graduates will never be able to register with their respective Councils for the Built Environment Professions (CBEP) while sitting at home or working as packers in shopping malls, petrol attendants and anywhere else instead of pursuing what they studied for at tertiary level.
